Dowen

Dowen Auctions Sales & Lettings, located at 21 Athenaeum Street in Sunderland, was established in 1982 by Denis Dowen, who remains involved in the business. The firm now operates eight branches serving mid North East England from the coast to the A1 corridor and was a founding member of The Great North Property Auction, through which it has sold hundreds of properties since 2011. The branch offers residential sales and lettings, with a lettings department managing several hundred homes, and a surveying division providing services to both corporate and private clients. Conveyancing is arranged via a panel of local solicitors. Dowen is affiliated with the National Association of Estate Agents, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Ombudsman For Estate Agents.
